Hatchet/Cast Away Compares   

      This book and movie Hatchet/Cast Away am going to put Differences and similarities, Quotes and more info about this great book and movie. Hatchet a novel by Gary Paulsen, Brain was going to visit his dad in Canada. Brain was on a single-engine plane that suddenly crashed in the Canadian wilderness. Cast away directed by Robert Zemeckis, Chuck was a employee it FedEx When he had to send some boxes on Christmas day, the plane crashed on ocean. He landed on a deserted island. That's  the info of Cast Away and Hatchet.


" Its the tail of the plane'' he said aloud , half expecting to hear somebody answer him. (Paulsen 149). Explanation brain said'' Its the tail of the plane'' because he was expecting to hear a voice. Paraphrase" when chuck was making his boat'' ( Cast Away) I choose this paraphrase because he used a lot of different items to make the boat. Those were the Quotes of Cast Away and Hatchet. They seemed interesting the Quotes and Paraphrase of Hatchet and Cast Away


   Brain & Chuck both crashed in deserted island/forest. They used a tool like (Hatchet/Knife) to find food or to protect themselves from dangerous animals. Chuck and brain both hurt them self when they were stranded island/forest many times by animals or they both Brain and Chuck where going to commit suicide but lastly they didn't. Now what we are going to focus on some differences of  Hatchet and Cast Away. Brain is younger than Chuck. Brain has more useful tool then Chuck  knife brain started a fire with his hatchet chuck had to find a harder way to make fire.Cast Away has a movie but not have a book Hatchet has both.

Brain & Chuck have a lot of similarities and differences.Both the book and the  movie were great. Hatchet is a great book for people that like survival books and same for Cast Away.                

              My essay is going to be about the book Hatchet and the movie Cast Away. There is going to be some similarities and differences of Hatchet and Cast Away but for now am going to tell you some info about Hatchet and Cast Away. Hatchet by Gary Paulsen brain was going to visit his dad to Canada  why because there parents are divorce. Brain was on a single-engine plane on his way to Canada which he was flying suddenly he crashed on a Canadian forest now brain need a way  to survive. That my info of Hatchet now I will give you info about Cast Away. Cast Away directed by Robert zemeckis chuck was a employer in FedEx. when he had to go send some FedEx boxes on Christmas day  then the plane crash on ocean on a rainy day he landed on a  deserted island now he needs to survive. that's was my info of hatchet and cast away now am going to tell you about some differences and similarities. 

        The similarities of  Hatchet and Cast Away both  crashed in deserted island/forest there still fighting to survive for there love ones and used a tool hatchet/knife to finding  food or to protect him self from dangerous animals.     That's was my thoughts of Hatchet and Cast Away brain and chuck have a lot of similarities and differences both book an movie were great. Hatchet is great book for people that like survival books and same for Cast Away people that enjoin survival movies. If I had a choose which is better Hatchet or Cast Away it would be Hatchet it  feels more like a survival book and it seemed more interesting the book than the movie. That's my final thoughts of Hatchet and Cast Away.

Hatchet, a novel written by Gary Paulsen, is about a thirteen-year-old boy . Brian who is lost in a  Canadian forest.

C.       Cast Away

Cast Away is a movie  a man named Chuck who is lost  on a island.

D.      Thesis

a.       Both Brian and Chuck had been trough a lot of stuff when they weren't stranded island or forest but it gets worst.

2.       Similarities= Two things that are the same that Chuck and Brian do

B.      Hatchet similarity= Hatchet and cast away are both about survival. A lot of brain tools chuck use them as well there a lot of similarities.

C.      Cast Away similarity= chuck use a spear just like brain but in a different shape. Both brain and chuck are still fighting to not die for there love ones.

a.       Paraphrase= when chuck open FedEx  box every other day.(cast away)

b.       Explanation = chuck would open the box every other day because it meant special for him.

D.      Conclusion= I but some similarities of brain and chuck.

3.       Differences= Two things that are different that Chuck and Brian do

A.      Topic Sentence= what we are going to focus on. A. brain and chuck crash in different places.

B.      Hatchet similarity= brain is younger than chuck. brain had more useful tools than chuck.

a. Quote= " inside there was a hatchet the kind with a steel handle and a rubber hand handgrip"(Paulsen 8)

b. Explanation= I choose this quote because brain started with a tool not like chuck.

C.      Cast Away similarity = They both got really hurt bad. They both ate sea food and got sick of it.

                                                             b.      Explanation= I choose the paraphrase because he used a lot of different item's to make the boat.(cast away)

D.      Conclusion= I choose a lot of  similarity differences of cast away and hatchet.

4.       Conclusion= Final thoughts

A. I think the movie cast away was great but I liked hatchet better both movie and movie were great those my thoughts of cast away and hatchet.  

       1) Brain is getting confused and bringing brain down because of the secret. That's why sometimes he over thinks the secret and the divorce. The secret makes him weak when he is trying to survive. He thinks in his head that he made the divorce happen. That's what makes brain and harder for him to fight and survive.    


      2) How the past mix with my present.  I don't feel different. I feel the same noting  bad had happen so far know past had mix with my present. know member had went to my present .I still feel the same away .

 Dear, Brain 

      

I feel bad about the divorce you wouldn't  be lost in a forest if I didn't divorce your mother. I feel mad and sad that your lost in the forest because I divorce your mother. Am sad because I cant find you I hope I find you soon. I am worried  that I  wont see you again and I thought everyday if he survived the plane crash. I would sent every guy to find you know matter what. I hope I  find soon so you can tell me how you survived. I am sorry for the divorce you wouldn't be lost in a forest.

Dear brain I wish you would come home. I don't now why you isn't here but I hope you come back so that I can spend time with you. I guessing the reason why you ant here is because of your mother. I dearly feel bad for you. You should come home right now so that you don't have to deal with your mom. Please brain please come home your literally scaring me right now what happens if your mom thinks I lost you or something. I just hope that you will come home for the hundred time because I don't wanna here your mom complain that I supposable lost you.

       what methods do you use to mange your time and survive the week? I just keep calm and  just let the day past. That's how I survive the week.


      Do you enjoy high school? why or why not. For me high school is ok but what I don't like about high school there is know class for me here. What I wanted to learn how to fix cars and know how it works.


      Do you think you will miss it when its over? I don't really think I would miss because after high school I would go to college after  that. I think would miss some things form high school in the future but right know don't think so.
